    Tips to Keep It Smooth

  1. Confirm the property type early: a single-family home, condominium, manufactured home or multi-unit property can involve different work.
  2. Arrange access to the areas requested, including basements, utility rooms and locked spaces, to reduce the risk of rescheduling.
  3. Provide a short list of upgrades/repairs (with dates) so the appraiser can account for meaningful improvements.

    4. If financing is involved, confirm the lender’s ordering process and current charge. Ask separately for the expected report-delivery date.
